In just 5 days, Walt Disney World will be welcoming a fantastic new tool that lets guests explore the resort in an exciting new way. On July 27th, 2022 MagicBand+ will be available for purchase at select Walt Disney World Gift shops starting at $34.99.
Exciting new Features
Previous styles of the MagicBand featured the ability to unlock hotel rooms, scan for park entry, and charge purchases back to your Walt Disney World hotel room, MagicBand+ will do that and more!
These rechargeable bands all have a small lighted ring around the icon of the band that lights up, syncing to the fireworks and visual effects of both shows Harmonious and Disney Enchantment.
Additionally, these fabulous new pieces of tech play a part in brand-new interactive quests.
New Quests
Starting July 27th, two brand new quests will be available to owners of the Magicband+ bands!
Throughout all 4 Walt Disney World theme parks, guests will be able to interact with those spectacular Fab 50 statues sprinkled around the parks. (Spoiler: Some might even say hello!)
The official Disney Parks blog defined this quest as an adventure with Tinkerbell that requires you to "wave your hand to sprinkle virtual pixie dust", and we'd be lying if we said that statement didn't spark some inner childhood joy!
Next up in Galaxy's Edge you can now become a Batuu bounty hunter with Magicband+!
The official Play Disney Parks app along with Magicband+ is allowing users to seek "virtually hidden bounties". The vibrations and lights on Magicband+ will lead users down the path closer to their virtual bounty viewable with the official Play Disney Parks app. Once the bounties are captured Raga Bua will award users with galactic credits.
